Privacy at Togethr
Effective date:
Togethr is built to help people spend more time together in the real world and less time arranging it. That requires trust. We collect only the information we need to operate and improve the service, and we do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
Depending on the features you use in your beta build, this may include:
- Account and contact information, such as your email address.
- Profile information you provide, including your first name and profile photo.
- Private matching preferences, including gender information and who you feel comfortable meeting, and activity preferences. We process session requests where those features are available in your beta build.
- App usage and technical information needed to operate and improve the service.
- Meetup information, such as confirmations, cancellations and private post-meet feedback, when those features are available.
- Waitlist answers and information you send when contacting us.
How we use it
We use information to authenticate accounts, manage profiles, communicate about the private beta and improve Togethr. As matching and meetup features become available, we use it to match people for activities, coordinate confirmed sessions, and support safety, reliability and abuse prevention.
Our privacy principles
- We do not sell personal information or use private user information to build public advertising profiles.
- Private matching preferences are not displayed publicly.
- We’re building matching so identifying information stays hidden until all required participants accept the session. This flow is still being developed for the beta.
- Post-meet feedback is intended to remain private unless explicitly stated otherwise when you provide it. This feature is still being developed.
Service providers
We use trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, email delivery, waitlist responses and app distribution. They process information needed to provide those services. Website analytics is currently disabled; if analytics is enabled in the future, we’ll update this policy to explain its use.
Waitlist answers are stored by our form service and synced to a dedicated response spreadsheet. The public website does not store signup answers.
Data retention
We retain information as reasonably necessary to operate the beta, maintain safety and reliability, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. We have not yet established fixed retention periods or automatic cleanup for beta records; deletion is handled manually. Replacing a profile photo does not currently remove earlier uploads automatically.
Service-provider logs, backups and deleted-item recovery copies may remain under the provider’s retention settings. We do not promise immediate erasure from every copy. Our retention practices may evolve as the service develops, and we’ll update this notice when they change.
Your choices
You can contact us to ask questions about your data, correct information, or request deletion of your account and data. Email from the address associated with your account or waitlist entry, with the subject “Account or data deletion request.” Tell us whether your request covers your app account, waitlist answers, or both.
The team reviews requests manually and may ask you to confirm control of the associated email address. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or identity documents. We may retain limited information for legitimate legal or safety reasons and will explain any retention that applies to your request. The current app does not yet offer an in-app account-deletion control.

An early private beta
Togethr is currently an early private beta. Features and data practices may change as the product evolves. We’ll update this policy and its effective date when our practices change.
Account access and private profile setup are available in the beta. Matching, mutual acceptance, identity reveal and post-meet feedback are still in development and are not described here as verified live functionality.
